The Pediatrician Southeast Boise Families Have Trusted for Over 40 Years
Finding a pediatrician you actually trust with your child is not something most parents take lightly. And if you are in Southeast Boise, Harris Ranch, Bown Crossing, Warm Springs or the East End, Ada Pediatrics at 650 N Cole Rd is a short drive with no downtown traffic to deal with and a practice that has been caring for Boise kids for over 40 years.
This is a real family practice. Dr. Bob Lindsay founded Ada Pediatrics over four decades ago and built it into one of the most trusted pediatric practices in the Treasure Valley. His son Dr. Ryan grew up right here in Boise, trained at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, one of the most respected pediatric programs in the country, and came back home to carry the practice forward. Jenna Gere, their Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, grew up in Boise too and brings years of pediatric experience from St. Luke's before joining the team. These are not providers who relocated here recently. They are Boise people who have been part of this community their whole lives.
Board-certified providers accepting new patients right now. Same-day sick visits available when you call early. Free meet and greet for families who are expecting, in the adoption process or just new to the area and looking for the right fit.

Close to Southeast Boise — Easy to Get To
When your child is sick the last thing you want is a long drive across town or sitting in downtown Boise traffic trying to get to a doctor's office. Ada Pediatrics is at 650 N Cole Rd on the west side of Boise and from most Southeast Boise neighborhoods it is a straightforward ten to fifteen minute drive with no complicated route to figure out.
From Harris Ranch you are looking at roughly ten to twelve minutes heading west on Warm Springs. From Bown Crossing it is about ten minutes. Warm Springs corridor, East End and the Foothills areas are all around twelve to fifteen minutes depending on where you are starting from. No freeway required, no downtown intersections to navigate, no parking structure to deal with when you finally get there.
That proximity matters most on sick visit days when your child is miserable in the backseat and you just need to get somewhere fast. It also matters for the routine stuff, the well child visits, the immunization appointments, the annual exams that are easy to put off when the office feels far away. When the drive is simple those appointments actually happen on schedule.
Pediatric Care for Every Stage — Newborn Through Age 18
From the first few days of life all the way through high school, Ada Pediatrics covers it. Here is what we provide for Southeast Boise families.
Newborn Care
First visits, milestone checks, feeding questions, sleeping routines, teething. All of it. If you are expecting your first baby, in the adoption process or new to Boise and looking for a pediatrician before the baby arrives, we offer a free no-charge meet and greet so you can come in, meet Dr. Ryan and Jenna, see the office and ask every question you have been saving up before you commit to anything.
Well Child Visits and Immunizations
Annual wellness exams from birth through 18. Immunizations kept on schedule. Development monitored at every visit. These appointments are how we catch things early before they become bigger problems and how we get to know your child well enough to notice when something is off.
Same-Day Sick Visits
Ear infections, fevers that spiked overnight, stomach bugs, rashes that appeared out of nowhere, an injury from the playground. Call us early in the day and in most cases we get your child in the same day. We know these things do not wait for a convenient opening in the schedule and we try to make sure you are not left waiting either.
Toddler Through Teen Care
Behavioral, social and emotional development alongside physical health from 18 months all the way through age 18. Adolescence brings its own set of questions and concerns and we handle those alongside the routine annual exams without making teenagers feel like they are still being treated as small children.
Injury and Illness Consultations
Not sure whether your child needs to come in, can be handled over the phone or actually needs the emergency room? Call us and describe what is happening. We help you make that decision quickly rather than leaving you to figure it out alone at a stressful moment.
After Hours Urgent Line
When something comes up after we close, call (208) 323-1222 and press 0. Our answering service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and connects you to the on-call physician for urgent medical matters. Not a voicemail. A real person who can help you figure out the right next step.
A Family Practice Built on Four Decades of Caring for Boise Kids
Ada Pediatrics is not a clinic that opened recently or a group practice that rotates providers in and out. Dr. Bob Lindsay founded this practice over 40 years ago with the intention of building the best pediatric practice in Boise. He was named Best Pediatrician in Best of Treasure Valley in 2014. His son Dr. Ryan grew up here, left to get some of the best pediatric training in the country and came back. Jenna grew up here too. That is not a coincidence. It is what a family practice that is genuinely rooted in a community looks like.
Why Southeast Boise Families Choose Ada Pediatrics
There are a lot of pediatric options in the Boise area. Large hospital systems, multi-provider group practices, urgent care clinics that see kids on the side. What Ada Pediatrics offers is genuinely different from all of those and Southeast Boise families who have been patients here tend to stay for a long time because of it.
Small practice means you see the same providers. Dr. Ryan and Jenna know your child by name, know their history and notice when something is off because they have seen your child enough times to have a baseline. That does not happen at a large group practice where you get whoever is available that day.
Dr. Ryan trained at Texas Children's Hospital. That is not a detail we mention to sound impressive. It is relevant because the depth of clinical experience that comes from training at one of the top pediatric programs in the country shows up in how he approaches a complicated case, how he communicates with anxious parents and how he makes decisions under pressure. He is also a trained paramedic which means his clinical instincts extend well beyond a standard medical school curriculum.
Dr. Bob built this practice over 40 years with a specific intention. Best pediatric practice in Boise. He was named Best Pediatrician in Best of Treasure Valley in 2014 and the practice he built reflects that standard. Dr. Ryan came back to Boise specifically to carry that forward rather than build something elsewhere. That says something about what this practice means to the people running it.
Same-day sick visits when you call early. A 24/7 after hours answering service connected to a real on-call physician, not a voicemail. A free meet and greet for families who want to come in before committing. These are not marketing points. They are how this practice has operated for four decades and how it intends to keep operating.

New to Boise, Expecting Your First Baby, or Just Looking for a Better Fit?
We get calls regularly from families who just moved to the Boise area and need to find a pediatrician before their child's next appointment. We get calls from parents expecting their first baby who want to have everything figured out before the due date. And we get calls from families who have been with another practice for a while and are looking for something that feels more personal.
All of those situations are exactly what the free meet and greet is for.
Come in, meet Dr. Ryan and Jenna, see the office and ask every question you have been holding onto. What is your approach to vaccines? How do you handle after hours calls? What happens if my child needs to see a specialist? How long does a typical well visit take? Bring all of it. That is what the appointment is for and there is no charge and no obligation attached to it.
Ada Pediatrics is accepting new patients from Southeast Boise right now. If you are transferring from another practice, have your child's records sent over before the first visit so Dr. Ryan and Jenna have the full picture going in. If this is a brand new patient, a newborn or a child who has not established care anywhere yet, we start from the beginning and build the relationship from there.
For families in the adoption process the free meet and greet works the same way. Come in before the placement if timing allows, get your questions answered and have a practice already in place when your child arrives home.

A well child visit is a scheduled annual exam when your child is healthy. A sick visit is for when something specific is wrong, a fever, an ear infection, an injury, a rash. Both happen here and both get the same level of attention from Dr. Ryan and Jenna.
Who are the providers at Ada Pediatrics?
Dr. Ryan Lindsay, DO is the pediatrician. He grew up in Boise, completed his pediatric residency at Texas Children's Hospital in 2012 and is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
